Air Quality Widget
Our website features an air quality widget that provides real-time air quality information. This feature:
- Location Access: May request your location permission to provide local air quality data. This is entirely optional and you can deny permission.
- Data Processing: Location data is processed locally in your browser and sent to third-party APIs (OpenWeatherMap, IQAir) to fetch air quality information.
- No Storage: We do not store your precise location coordinates on our servers. Location data is only temporarily used to fetch air quality data.
- Local Storage: We may store your location permission preference and approximate location in your browser's local storage for up to 30 minutes to avoid repeated permission requests.
- Third-Party APIs: Your location may be shared with OpenWeatherMap and IQAir APIs to provide air quality data. Please refer to their privacy policies for more information.
- Fallback Data: If location access is denied, the widget uses default location data (Liverpool area) to provide general air quality information.
How we use your data
- To operate and improve the website experience.

- To display local air quality information (processed client-side in your browser).
