Potholes App — Pothole Avoidance

Anonymous reporting limits. Visitors without an account may add up to five pothole reports. Photo attachments are unavailable until you register, activate your account by email, and log in.

AI-checked photos. Every uploaded image is screened by an AI algorithm to confirm it shows a pothole on the road. Images the system cannot verify are held back from the public map until an administrator approves or removes them.

Driving alerts. With live tracking on, a single beep warns you when you are approaching a pothole; a double beep means you are very close.

Route hazard preview. Set pickup and drop-off on the map to see whether reported potholes lie along your planned drive.

Community accuracy. The more correct data users add, the better and safer the map becomes for everyone on the road.

No route history stored. We never save your planned routes, driven paths, or tracking history. Your journeys are not recorded on our servers.

Your login details stay private. We only keep the information needed for you to sign in. Your credentials are never sold or passed to anyone else.

Accounts are free. With an account you can attach a photo to your report and see and manage your reports when you log in on any device — not just the phone or browser you used when you first reported.

New accounts must be activated by email before you can log in. The activation link in your email is valid for one hour.

You can have your route displayed on the map while you are driving along (with your vehicle icon pointing in the direction of travel, not in any random way as some apps do).

The map — once a pickup and drop-off has been added — will display the amount of potholes and where they are along the way, as well as your vehicle staying in the middle of the map as your route is displayed.

When you come across any potholes you can let everyone else know if they have been fixed; they will then become deactivated so other users will know the road is now safer.
